Steps taken by AAP government in Delhi on 19-Mar-15:

  1. The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) on Thursday increased water tariff in the city by 10 per cent for consumption exceeding 20,000 litres per month. Also reduces the development charge levied for getting water connections by 90 per cent. (Source1) (Source2) (Source3)
  2. Despite a tariff hike, residents of Dwarka will be paying less for their water consumption as compared to their existing expenditure starting April 1st. (Source)
  3. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal asks corporations to return with revenue plan. (Source)
  4. Delhi government has written a letter to the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) chairman, P D Sudhakar, questioning the basis of the tariff revisions that resulted in “steep hikes” between 2011 and 2014. (Source)
